Artist Approach

My practice is shaped less by knowing exactly what I want to say, and more by sensing where I choose to stand. Nature, city, animals, or small details all open onto the same quiet question: from what distance should we look at the world? My photographs do not aim to deliver messages; they emerge from a desire to remain within a state rather than explain it. I work in black and white because it removes images from time and decoration, allowing texture, light, and space to form a more honest relationship. Fine art printing and framing are not final steps but integral parts of this approach, giving the work a physical, lasting presence in the real world. In an age of rapidly consumed images, I am interested in creating works that invite slowness, attention, and stillness.
